Unmasking the Tale of Romance, Excitement, and Trickery: A Bespoke Jewelry Journey.
Bringing stories to life in the form of jewelry is why we love designing bespoke pieces that hold deep meaning for our clients. It allows us to weave together their unique narratives, creating wearable works of art that symbolize their love, milestones, and cherished memories.
For this particular project, the challenge was not only to design a stunning new wedding set but also to execute a secret plan orchestrated by our client. The goal was to incorporate his wife's old diamond from her original engagement ring into the new design without her knowing.
It was a mission of romance, excitement, and a touch of trickery.
Under the guise of resizing her rings for comfort, our client enlisted our help as his trusted accomplice. We carefully removed the precious diamond from her original ring and replaced it with a convincing decoy and she was none the wiser! With the switch complete, we embarked on crafting a new chapter in their love story.
The centerpiece of the new ring became a clear rose cut diamond. A rose cut diamond has a flat bottom with a dome-shaped crown, rising to a single apex. The cut intends to impart a soft, subtle sheen rather than the brilliant sparkle of modern diamond cuts. This gives the rose cut a unique, romantic appeal and a transparent finish, elegantly revealing her original diamond beneath its shimmering surface. When gazing into the captivating rose cut, a glimpse of the past, filled with cherished memories is revealed. It serves as a reminder of the love they shared from the very beginning.
But the story doesn't end there. Hidden within the matching band ring are four birthstones, carefully chosen to represent the couple and their two beloved sons. These gemstones, nestled on the inside of the band, symbolize the family that was born out of their enduring love. It's a heartfelt tribute, a secret treasure that only they know.
