Sustainability and Ethics in Design The Horns used in my designs are ethically harvested from the domestic Asian Water Buffalo. At least 130 million domestic water buffalo exist, and more people depend on them than on any other domestic animal. The animals spend their lives working in agricultural fields in the remote parts or South Asia and are a prized resource for villagers who depend on agriculture to survive. When they die, nothing goes to waste! Everything from the meat and hides, to the bones and horns are used for something. Thus, the sale of the horns provide an income for a great many people. As a designer and as a producer, I believe I have a duty to the next generation, to do my part in contributing to sustainable living. It brings me great pleasure to create with this material.

We can work with impressions from babies, children and adults, including older loved ones. A clear photograph may be suitable. The palm or sole must be photographed straight on, in sharp focus and against a clean, uncluttered background. Handwriting & Drawings Yes. We may be able to preserve handwriting from letters, journals, postcards, recipes, greeting cards and other personal documents. Only the preparation required for engraving will be completed. Where possible, we may remove background lines, isolate or reposition selected words, and adjust the layout while preserving the character of the original. If the chosen detail overlaps with other writing or elements and cannot be separated cleanly, it may be more faithful to preserve it within a carefully selected excerpt from the original document. Fine lines, shading and intricate details may need to be simplified or adjusted so that the design reproduces clearly on your chosen piece. Privacy & reorders Personalization files are handled confidentially and accessed only by those required to prepare and produce your piece. They are not used for marketing without your permission. All original personalization materials are generally deleted within 60 days after the jewelry has been completed and delivered. The artistically prepared engraving file may be retained securely for future reorders. After a series of communications about your design and about the person who will wear the piece, we then develop a few hand drawn, rough sketches , for you to choose from. then,we source your gems/diamonds Our rough sketches are then transformed into 3D digital drawings , using advanced computer aided design (CAD) technology; a crucial step in turning the design concept into a reality. Digital Drawing Digital Renderings Phase 2; Your quotation Once your 3D model is complete and your gemstones have been selected, you will receive a quotation for your piece. 3d printed wax model Phase 3: Crafting your piece Once you have approved your quotation and paid the required deposit, your piece moves into production. Your approved digital design is translated into a 3D-printed wax model, then cast in your chosen precious metal. The term Bespoke refers to an item of jewelry that is created on the basis of a client’s specific request, unique design plan, purpose, time frame and budget. A bespoke design contains individual design details that are unique to the person it is being created for; as such, the exact piece will not be reproduced for someone else (except via the client's own request). All bespoke designs are essentially Custom-made (made to order for a particular customer) hence, the term is often used interchangably. Custom-made and Customized designs do not meet the definition of bespoke as they are based on our standard range of designs that have, by request, been individually altered, for example, with rearranged features or unique gems creating a non-standard personalised item. WARRANTY Your piece was carefully designed and crafted to be a cherished heirloom that will be valued by many generations. We stand behind our workmanship. Complimentary to you, we will replace or repair any piece that is damaged due to manufacturing defects (e.g. prongs that need to be tightened etc.) for a period of one year from the purchase date. Normal wear and tear, accidents and damages due to neglect, or abuse are not covered by our warranty and will be repaired at a cost to the customer. Warranty coverage is based upon our inspection and sole determination. AUTHENTICITY CERTIFICATE A Josanne Mark certificate document is available to our clients upon request. What is it? It is a document that states the Diamond carat weight, the type of diamond/s, type of metal used, along with an image of the piece, its replacement value, invoice information, name of client and additional details where necessary. When is it used? This certificate can be presented to your insurance company if you are seeking insurance coverage through a home owner or individual jewelry policy. It is issued specifically for engagement rings, wedding bands or any other item of fine jewelry set with diamonds or stones. Josanne Mark is a Luxury Jewelry Designer with over a decade of experience. Her designs exude unique sophistication and have been featured in Vouge Magazine. Get To Know Josanne HOW IT ALL STARTED Josanne graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Manhattan in 2011 Summa Cum Laude with the degree in Jewelry Design but the degree was not the start of her success, merely a step along the road. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Josanne is a South girl, from the industrial, oil producing area of Fyzabad. While studying at the University of the West Indies where she pursued her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management, Josanne’s passion for design and beautiful things incited her to create jewelry which she sold to her fellow students and to a number of souvenir shops in Trinidad’s capital. PURSUING A PASSION FOR DESIGN After graduating from University, she pursued her passion full-time and was recognized as a top youth entrepreneur in the National Youth Awards of 2008. Her first jewelry line as a full-time designer was accepted by a leading luxury retailer in Trinidad and Tobago; a feat which opened doors for other local designers. Her collections have been showcased at several select events throughout Trinidad and in New York where she participated in the prestigious Grand Central Holiday exhibition. Her work was also showcased at Studio 66 Art Gallery in Upstate New York and in many online exhibitions including the esteemed Ganoskin Project, one of the oldest online jewelry resources. Josanne is member of the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America Association and continues to develop her knowledge base in her pursuit of her passion.
